About the event
The beauty of Renaissance still life paintings are the inspiration for this online sustainable floral design class. In this class, we learn to make a rich, full, and abundant design like those depicted in museum artworks.
There are three stages to the class:
1) A brief lesson an still life paintings, with a focus on little-known female artists from the Renaissance period.
2) I will give a demonstration of how to make the design.
3) I will do the demonstration again and guide you through the process as you make your own. I will help and answer questions.
Materials you need.
A waterproof container of your choice with an opening of 2.0-3.00 inches.
Flowers of your choice. Choise two main complementary colors. Add a variety of spring flowers with enough stems to fill the container opening. You may also include greenery of your choice. Ivy and big plant leaves are nice.
Curly willow or other thin bendable branches. This will be used to hold flower stems in place in your container.
Clear tape, thin or thick.
Come along and start your day, evening, or weekend by creating a beautiful design.
